Lagerlof, LLP Attorney Named Business of Entertainment Visionary by Envelope Magazine

PASADENA, CA – Lagerlof, LLP Partner, Erin Prouty, has been recognized as a Business of Entertainment Visionary by Envelope Magazine for 2026. This marks the third consecutive year Prouty has received the distinction, highlighting her continued leadership and trusted counsel within the entertainment industry. 

 

Presented annually by Envelope Magazine, part of LA Times Studios, the Business of Entertainment Visionaries list recognizes professionals who provide exceptional legal, financial, and strategic guidance to clients across the entertainment sector. Prouty’s continued inclusion reflects her extensive experience advising high-profile individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning, tax, and wealth preservation matters.

Based in Lagerlof, LLP’s El Segundo office, Prouty’s practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate and trust litigation, entity formation, and charitable and tax planning. She is widely recognized for representing entertainment industry professionals, including notable figures in music, film, and television, many of whom rely on her guidance for complex estate structures, asset protection strategies, and multigenerational wealth planning. 

 

In addition to her legal practice, Prouty is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the USC Gould School of Law and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences on estate and tax planning topics. 

 

Prouty has earned numerous accolades throughout her career, including recognition by Best Lawyers and repeated selection as a Southern California Super Lawyer. She remains actively involved in the legal community through leadership and board service with prominent professional organizations. 

 

She received her B.A. from the University of Southern California, her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University. She has been practicing law in California since 1985.
