Dena L. Klotz is a Partner and Managing Attorney at Lagerlof, LLP in Encino. She advises individuals, families, family offices, and closely held business owners on basic and sophisticated wealth planning, trust administration, real estate matters, long term asset protection strategies, and significant life transactions.
Dena brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her practice, shaped by her background in law, real estate, and family therapy. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, and has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1994. She also previously worked as a licensed realtor in the San Fernando Valley.
After dedicating time to raising her three children, Dena completed a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University and practiced as a therapist, concentrating on conflict resolution within families and couples. She later returned to legal practice, integrating her understanding of family dynamics with her legal experience to counsel clients through complex personal, financial, and intergenerational matters.
Within Lagerlof’s Private Client Group, Dena works across trust and estate planning, trust administration, probate, tax strategy and planning, charitable giving, and business matters, helping clients structure, preserve, and transition wealth with discretion and foresight. Dena resides in Agoura Hills and enjoys road biking, mountain biking, hiking, yoga, skiing, and spending time with her family.
