Robin is a Partner at Lagerlof, LLP specializing his practice exclusively in appellate law. He has more than thirty-five years of experience practicing law in California with twenty of those year concentrating in the area of business litigation.

Robin graduated from the Columbia University School of Law in 1976, after completing undergraduate work at the University of California, Riverside (where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors) and Goettingen University in Germany.

Specializing in appellate law, he engages in appeals before the California Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court, as well as the federal Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, involving the review of lower court orders or judgments arising from real estate dealings, business tort claims (such as wrongful foreclosure, civil fraud, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and interference with contract), and other commercial or contractual disputes.

Recent unpublished but citable opinions issuing from federal appellate cases in which Robin served as lead counsel include Wilkerson v. World S&L Ass’n 404 Fed. Appx. 211, 2010 U.S. App. LEXIS 23957 (9th Cir. 2010) and Nieves v. World Sav. Bank, FSB 357 Fed. Appx 843, 2009 U.S. App. LEXIS 26681 (9th Cir. 2009).

Cases of record in which Robin has served as lead counsel on appeal include: Harris v. Wachovia Mortgage, FSB (2010) 184 Cal. App. 4th 1018; Garcia v. World Savings, FSB (2010) 183 Cal. App. 4th 1031; Kunert v. Mission Financial Services Corp. (2003) 110 Cal. App. 4th 242; Farmer Bros. Co. v. Franchise Tax Board (2003) 108 Cal. App. 4th 976; Frederick v. First Union Securities, Inc. (2002) 100 Cal. App. 4th 694; Western Security Bank, N.A. v. Superior Court (Beverly Hills Business Bank) (1997) 15 Cal.4th 232; and In Re Comark, 145 Bankruptcy Reporter 47 (9th Cir. B.A.P. 1992).

Robin, his wife Marion, and their three children moved from the Pasadena area to Park City, Utah in 2010. Robin is a winter sport enthusiast, with a special passion for downhill skiing. When the snow disappears, he takes to the local trails on his mountain bike. He also enjoys the practice of yoga off the slopes.
