Lagerlof Cares Holds Food Drive to Donate to Friends in Deed Food Pantry

PASADENA, CA – Pasadena nonprofit, Lagerlof Cares, partnered with Friends in Deed Food Pantry to donate food and canned goods to low-income and no-income families in the local community.

Friends in Deed serves roughly 500 families weekly, providing them with food, toiletries, and other necessities. The Food Pantry receives donations from a variety of sources and relies heavily on donations from organizations and individuals.

Lagerlof Cares held a holiday food drive at their Pasadena office. Employees donated needed supplies throughout November and December. Managing Partner, Joshua Driskell, and Chief Operating Officer, Corey Castillo, visited the Friends in Deed Food Pantry to drop off donations and tour the facilities.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with the Friends in Deed Food Pantry,” Managing Partner, Joshua Driskell shared. “They meet a tremendous need in our local community and serve our community members in a compassionate-driven way.”

Friends in Deed is set up like a neighborhood market where community members can select their own groceries. Since the pandemic they have shifted to providing prepackaged grocery bags. Their hope is to soon provide both options of hosting an open market and to give out pre packaged groceries to meet the needs of all community members.

Lagerlof Cares supports a variety of local nonprofit organizations that serve the Pasadena community through direct volunteerism, charitable events, and corporate gifts. Lagerlof Cares is the charitable extension of Lagerlof, LLP, a Pasadena law firm. They believe that, as a prominent leader within their community, they have a responsibility to give back to their neighbors beyond the boundaries of their standard business practices and are dedicated to serving their local community in an impactful and meaningful way.
