Prouty’s repeat honor reflects her reputation as a trusted advisor and her proven ability to manage complex legal, financial, and tax issues for high-profile individuals.

Working out of Lagerlof, LLP’s El Segundo office, Prouty’s practice spans estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate and trust litigation, entity formation, and tax and charitable planning. She has also served as an expert witness in her field, further cementing her standing as a leading authority in trust and estate law.
Prouty advises numerous entertainment clients, including well-known figures from the music and film industries. Many rely on her skill in handling complicated estates, unique asset structures, and sensitive tax strategies. Known for her discretion and thoroughness, she has built lasting client relationships and a reputation as one of the foremost estate planning attorneys serving the entertainment community.
In addition to her client work, Prouty is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She teaches as an Adjunct Professor at USC Gould School of Law and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences. Her accolades include being named Los Angeles County’s 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” in Trusts and Estates by Best Lawyers Magazine and repeated recognition as a Southern California Super Lawyer.
Prouty has also held several leadership positions within the legal community. She previously served on the Board of Governors of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and has previously been part of both the State Bar of California’s Trusts and Estates Section Executive Committee and the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Executive Committee.
She earned her B.A. from the University of Southern California, her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University, and has been practicing law in California since 1985.
