About Amanda:

Amanda is a rising third year student at the University of San Diego School of Law and is expected to graduate in May 2022. For her final year of law school, she will be an editor on the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law and will be working an externship with the Corporate Counsel Clinic.

After graduation, she is interested in pursuing a law career in corporate, estate planning, and tax.

Outside of school and work, Amanda enjoys time at the beach, doing outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and is training for her first triathlon in the fall. She also has two pets, a dog named Landry and a cat named Paxton.

What are you looking forward to most about the Summer Associate Program at Lagerlof, LLP?

I am most looking forward to gaining more experience in corporate and tax law and learning as much as I can from my colleagues.

Why did you decide to go to law school and study to become a lawyer?

Before law school, I went to business school and worked as a project manager at a solar company. Part of the job involved working closely with the legal team on revising and finalizing contract details. The documents I worked with were mainly leases and purchase agreements, but I was also exposed to some other types of corporate forms. I discovered that was my favorite part of the job and found myself wishing I were on the other side. Because of that job, I decided I wanted to pursue a law school education.
