Ruth is an attorney who specializes in Elder Law. She has been highlighted in the 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 Southern California Super Lawyers publications. She is a past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, a national organization.

She is the author of several chapters for California Continuing Education of the Bar, including chapters on compensation for guardians of the person, administration of special needs trusts, probate family allowances and homesteads.

Ruth received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles. She received her JD degree and her LL.M. (taxation) from Loyola Law School.
Ruth is a 2007 Spirit of CEB recipient. She is an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School, teaching Elder Law.
