Joshua R. Driskell is Chair of the Private Client Services Department and Managing Partner of Lagerlof, LLP. His practice is dedicated to estate planning, wealth transfer planning, business succession planning, post-death administration, and fiduciary litigation. Josh’s clients consist predominantly of high-net-worth individuals, such as business owners, real property investors, family offices, private equity fund managers, and entertainment industry figures. Â
Josh regularly counsels his clients on how to minimize their tax burdens and best transfer wealth to the next generation. He also works with business owners on how to best transfer ownership of their business interests to the next generation or employees, with minimal tax consequences and without disrupting the business. Clients often consult with Josh for charitable giving, and he has helped establish charitable trusts and many private foundations. Â
A frequent lecturer on a variety of estate planning and tax related topics, Josh has appeared before the We Fund LA Real Estate Summer Symposium, Managing the FinCEN CTA Process with Thomson Reuters, The Successful Law Firm and Its Healthy Ecosystem: The Confluence of Strategy, Operations, Technology, and Total Rewards with the California Lawyers Association, among many others. Â
While Josh works primarily with clients throughout Southern California, he also maintains clients statewide, including a strong Northern California client base. Â
Josh is admitted to practice law in all California state courts, all Ohio state courts, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Â
