Ryan J. Burroughs is an Of Counsel at Lagerlof, LLP focusing his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, fiduciary, tax, and charitable planning. 

Prior to joining Lagerlof, LLP, Ryan worked at a multi-state law firm, where he prepared tailored estate plans, handled the administration of complex trusts and estates, and worked on intricate tax matters including preparation of income, gift, and estate tax returns. 

Ryan believes that the best estate planning involves more than simply achieving a favorable taxable result or avoiding probate. In addition to these important goals, Ryan seeks to counsel clients toward thoughtful planning decisions resulting in long term outcomes consistent with their personal values. 

Ryan received his Bachelor’s Degree from Wheaton College where he majored in Philosophy, graduating magna cum laude. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law. 

Ryan is admitted to practice law in California, Illinois, and Wisconsin. 

In his free time, Ryan enjoys jazz music, discussing philosophy, and getting outside to run, cycle, or hike with family.
