Raul M. Montes

Raul focuses his practice on estate planning, trust and probate, business, real estate, and litigation.  He has been practicing law since he was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1981. 

 

In probate and trusts, Raul engages in a wide variety of fiduciary, estate, trust and conservatorship litigation including will and trust contests, disputes between trustees or executors and beneficiaries, fiduciary issues, and financial elder abuse. His practice also includes estate planning, probate and trust administration, and conservatorships.

 

In real property law, Raul has extensive experience negotiating leases, purchases, and sale agreements. He also practices litigation involving title disputes and representing parties, brokers, and agents involving breaches of contract, fraud, and other breaches of duty. In business law, his experience includes formation of business entities and litigation involving disputes, including disputes among business owners for breach of fiduciary duties, fraud, accountings, among other issues.

 

Raul received both his Bachelors Degree and Juris Doctor from University of California, Los Angeles and is admitted to the U.S. Southern District Court of California and the U.S Court of Appeals for the Ninth District. 

 

Raul is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. He is married to his wife Laurie and has four sons.
