PASADENA, CA – Lagerlof Cares, a Pasadena nonprofit, held a school supply donation drive to support Families Forward Learning Center in Pasadena.

Families Forward Learning Center is a nonprofit that prepares families living in isolation and poverty to succeed in school and in life through two-generation learning programs serving children and their families.

“We are so appreciative to all those who contributed to our Lagerlof Cares School Supply Donation Drive in support of Families Forward Learning Center here in Pasadena,” Joshua Driskell shared. Driskell is the Managing Partner of Lagerlof, LLP, Lagerlof Cares is their charitable entity.

“Families Forward serves children and families in impactful and meaningful ways and we are so excited to be able to help get their classrooms ready to welcome students back for the new year.”

Lagerlof Cares collected donations throughout the summer to help replenish the Leaning Center’s classrooms as they gear up to welcome students back in-person. Donations collected included crayons and markers, slime making supplies, glue sticks, paint, paint brushes, and everything in-between. This will be the Center’s first time fully back in-person since the pandemic. 

Families Forward Learning Center will be serving 116 students on-site ranging from two months to five years of age. 90% of the families they serve live at or below the poverty line.

Lagerlof Cares supports a variety of local nonprofit organizations that serve the local community through direct volunteerism, charitable events, and corporate gifts. Lagerlof Cares is the charitable extension of Lagerlof, LLP, Pasadena’s largest law firm. They believe that, as a prominent leader within their community, they have a responsibility to give back to their neighbors beyond the boundaries of their standard business practices and are dedicated to serving their local community in an impactful and meaningful way.
