Lagerlof Cares Launches a Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund to Support Those Impacted by the Eaton Fire

PASADENA, CA – Lagerlof Cares, the charitable extension of Pasadena-based law firm Lagerlof, LLP, launched a Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund in support of those impacted by the Eaton fire.

In response to the disasters caused by the Eaton Wildfire that arose in the Altadena and Pasadena communities, many individuals within Lagerlof, LLP’s community – including employees, families, their family pets, friends, and business partners in the greater Pasadena area – have been severely impacted.

Lagerlof Cares is committed to helping their neighbors via their Wildfire Disaster Relief & Recovery Support Initiative, which will support those impacted by supporting aid agencies focused on the areas of temporary housing, essential supplies, financial aid and recovery, mental health, pet care services, and job placement support.

“In times of crisis, it’s about compassion and taking action,” Lagerlof, LLP Chief Operating Officer, Corey Castillo, shared. “We care deeply for our community and want to support the immediate and long-term needs of those impacted. This relief initiative is part of our commitment to supporting the collective effort to rebuild lives and restore hope for those effected by the devastating Eaton wildfire.”

The website offers two ways to give. First, through direct support by offering a list of local nonprofits with confirmed programs dedicated to serving the evolving needs of our Pasadena and Altadena communities in response to the damage caused by the Eaton Wildfire. Each nonprofit listed includes a link to support that organization directly. Lagerlof Cares will be consistently and carefully monitoring the needs of the impacted community and each listed nonprofit’s role in adequately serving those needs.

The second way to give is through collective support by offering those who wish to make a collective impact across multiple nonprofits’ disaster support efforts, Lagerlof Cares has created a giving portal. All funds (100%) received via this portal will be fully distributed to select listed nonprofits in allocations based on updated community needs and each respective nonprofit’s capacity to serve those needs.
