Lagerlof Cares Donates $15,000 to Union Station Homeless Services

PASADENA, CA – Lagerlof Cares, the charitable extension of Lagerlof, LLP, donated $15,000 to Union Station Homeless Services with funds raised through their annual golf tournament on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. 

 

Lagerlof Cares hosted their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser benefiting Union Station Homeless Services on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Brookside Golf Club. During their tournament they hosted 86 golfers and 104 attendees for the dinner reception.  

 

“We were thrilled to be able to support Union Station Homeless Services as our tournament beneficiary this year. We believe in the work that they do and how they support our community,” Lagerlof, LLP’s Managing Partner, Joshua Driskell, shared. “We are so thankful to all our tournament sponsors and participants that helped us raise the $15,000 to support this great organization.” 

 

Lagerlof Cares chose Union Station Homeless Services as their beneficiary to support their effort of providing services and resources with the mission of recognizing the inherent value, dignity, and humanity of the people they serve. Union Station’s team works to end homelessness through housing solutions, supportive services, and connection to community.   

 

Union Station Homeless Services has been working in the community for 50 years providing services and housing solutions. With our Housing First approach, we’ve achieved an impressive 97% retention rate, meaning that 97% of the people we house, stay housed, “stated Anne Miskey, President and CEO of Union Station Homeless Services. “Only with the caring and generosity of organizations like Lagerlof, LLP that we are able to do the lifesaving work we do every day as we strive to end homelessness.” 

 

 

The tournament included breakfast, driving range privileges, putting green contest, 18-hole golf game, on course food & drinks, cocktail hour, and a dinner and awards reception. 

 

Sponsors of the tournament included Northern Trust, Shuster Financial Services, Stone Tapert, Vimvi, California Institute of Advanced Management, Mission Valley Bank, Lenox Advisors, Insperity, Arroyo Insurance Services, Thrivent, Dave Knight Real Estate Team, The CREM Group, and Lenox Advisors. 

 

Partnership companies that supported on-course food and beverages for attendees included Stone Brewery Pasadena, Cigars by Chivas, Chik-Fil-A Pasadena, Custom Comfort Mattress, and Bertha Mae’s Brownie Company.
