Theresa K. N. Culver is a Senior Associate Attorney in Lagerlof, LLP’s Corporate & Tax Department. Her practice focuses on representing privately held companies in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formations, reorganizations, and restructurings. She also advises clients on general corporate and governance matters and regularly drafts and negotiates complex transactional agreements.
Theresa represents clients across diverse industries and business stages, from start-ups and emerging companies to established organizations navigating growth or transition. Her work includes supporting service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, women-owned and minority-owned businesses, and other government contractors with compliance and corporate matters.
Prior to joining Lagerlof, LLP, Theresa practiced at Fonss & Estigarribia LLP, a boutique corporate and securities firm in San Diego, where she supported clients in sophisticated transactional matters. Earlier in her career, she served as in-house corporate counsel for a leading utility billing and management company operating throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, managing legal compliance for the Student Housing division and advising on data security and privacy matters, including compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Theresa earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, concentrating in Business and Corporate Law and serving as Articles Editor for the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Allegheny College and is admitted to practice law in California and Hawaii.
With a strong foundation in corporate law and a solutions-focused approach, Theresa partners closely with clients to help them navigate complex transactions with clarity and confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, skiing, and traveling home to Hawaii.
