Nina is a Senior Associate Attorney at Lagerlof, LLP, in the litigation department, where she focuses her practice on probate, trusts, guardianships, and conservatorships.
Nina started her legal career in insolvency, representing debtors, creditors, and estate fiduciaries in bankruptcy, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors, out-of-court workouts, and related litigation. She then served as outside in-house counsel for smaller financial institutions and fintechs, handling corporate governance matters, drafting institutional policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and interfacing with regulators and resolving regulatory complaints, providing day-to-day assistance and advice to operations on the deposit side, and drafting and negotiating vendor agreements.
Nina graduated from Scripps College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics-Accounting, and earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she was a teaching assistant for Real Property, and an American Bar Association Law Student Division Liaison. Nina has also taught Bankruptcy Law at the law school level.
