Martin’s practice focuses on corporate, business, and taxation matters. A native South Pasadenan fluent in Spanish, he strives to provide legal services to his community and to those who desire to do business both in and around the community.
While pursuing his J.D. with a specialization in Business Law, Mr. Hodis interned as a law clerk with a boutique corporate law firm in Pasadena as well as participating in his law school’s corporate in-house clinic, providing legal research to a real estate company’s in-house counsel.
To expand his understanding of legal systems outside the United States, he clerked for the Chilean firm Barros & Errárzuriz in their corporate, mergers & acquisitions, banking and finance, and capital markets practices. During his summer breaks, he externed for the United States Attorney’s Office’s Tax Division and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (colloquially referred to as immigration court).
Martin is a member of the Pasadena Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the California Bar Association. Mr. Hodis is admitted to practice law in all California state courts and the United States District Courts for the Central District of California. He has served as a volunteer with El Centro, UCLA’s student-run legal clinic, serving not only as a Co-Training Director but as a volunteer with El Centro’s Immigration Clinic.
When not practicing as an attorney, Mr. Hodis enjoys genealogy and traveling the world.
