About Michelle:

Michelle is a rising third year student at the University of Toledo College of Law and is expected to graduate in May 2022. In school she is involved in various student organizations and is the Editor-in-Chief of their Law Review. Michelle also worked in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention and is currently enjoying her time learning more about trust and estates, tax, and environmental law.

Outside of school, Michelle enjoys reading and taking care of all the rescue animals that seem to show up on her doorstep.

What are you looking forward to most about the Summer Associate Program at Lagerlof, LLP?

I’m excited to learn what it’s like working in a large firm with a group of lawyers who fiercely advocate for their clients. I have an interest in tax and trusts and estates and couldn’t think of a better place to gain experience from experts who help so many clients every day. (And the California sunshine doesn’t hurt, either!)

Why did you decide to go to law school and study to become a lawyer?

I decided to attend law school because being a lawyer is a way for me to directly make positive change in people’s lives during some of their most stressful and important moments.
