The firm's many partners over nearly 100 years have always represented clients in a team effort, working together as needed in each client's best interest. Many of our partners have worked their entire professional lives in this firm. Key to our success has been the fact that our firm has always had one or more active partners with significant longevity to ensure consistency and stability over the years.

In 1908, when our firm was founded, Theodore Roosevelt was in the last year of his second term as U.S. President. That year, Shobal P. Mulford and George W. Dryer formed a partnership to practice law in the County of Los Angeles

Mr. Mulford, born in 1850, was from Ohio, where he had practiced law for five years before moving to Los Angeles in 1883 to continue hes practice as a specialist in corporate and probate law. Mr. Dryer was born in 1881 in Placrville, the heart of California's "gold country", and grew up in Santa Ana, He graduated from Stanford Law School and, in 1904, was admitted to the California Bar.
